Local newspapers and online sites are good places for advertising your property. However, you need to be creative in your ad language if you are to attract the ideal renters. Your advertisement must speak the benefits that the renters will get if they take your property on rent. Your advertisement may promise the possible ideal renters a quiet and safe environment. The advertisements may also highlight easily accessible public transportation. Highlighting the fact that the property stands within walking distance of renowned schools, colleges or universities and public parks may also attract the ideal renters.

Screening process is one of the most important things in property management business. You have to use your brain to find out the ideal renters. You may start the screening process with a checklist of questions to ask the renters. An ideal renter never hides anything. He will answer each and every question without any sort of hesitaiton. You may observce how he speaks and how he looks. Whether he is neat and clean may hint at how he would fare in the property. You may also peek inside his car; if the car looks neat and clean and if it is well-maintained it may be a clue that the person boasts of good personal habits.
